The Keuka Lake Motel

The Keuka Lake Motel has a scenic view of Keuka Lake and the bluff separating the lake's fingers. It is a short walk from the motel to the lake and the boat launch. The motel has plenty of parking for cars, trucks, and boat trailers.

The Keuka Lake Motel is owned and operated by Josh Trombley and Arthur Kirk III. Both gentlemen grew up in Penn Yan and are active members in the Penn Yan and Hammondsport communities.

Keuka Lake is famous for its natural beauty and excellent sport fishing. It is the cleanest of the Finger Lakes and is the only one to be Y-shaped. A scenic bluff overlooks the arms of the Y and towers over 700 feet above the lake. The lake is two miles wide at its widest point, twenty miles long, and 187 feet deep at the deepest point.

Hammondsport resides at the southern end of the lake, Penn Yan surrounds the northern end of the east arm of the Y, and Branchport is located at the northern end of the west arm.

Keuka Lake has been a popular vacation spot since the late 1800's. There is a lot of history and many attractions in the area. Great restaurants, wine tours, and vineyards give vacationers a lot of choices for fun activities.

The Switzerland Inn (The Switz) was established in 1894 and has been in continuous operation at this location on Keuka Lake ever since. The Switz offers a delicious menu, a full bar, and live music on the weekends. It also hosts special events such as the annual Polar Bear Plunge and the annual Miss Keuka Lake Swimsuit Pageant. The Switz is open from March until Thanksgiving.
